Ocean Inlet Park – North Jetty:
Ocean Inlet Park sits on the Boynton Inlet (officially the South Lake Worth Inlet), the cut where the Lake Worth Lagoon meets the Atlantic. The north jetty here is one of the most productive shore-fishing spots in Palm Beach County — the swift current and rocky structure funnel baitfish through the inlet, and the gamefish follow.
It is free, and while the park itself runs roughly 8am to sunset, fishing on the inlet is allowed 24 hours a day. Anglers work the jetty and seawalls for a genuine variety: snook (this is a well-known snook spot), pompano, Spanish mackerel, whiting, bluefish, snapper, jacks and sheepshead, with tarpon and bigger fish moving through the cut.
There is no tackle shop on the jetty, so bring your gear, bait and Florida license. The 11-acre county park around it has a beach, marina, picnic pavilions, a playground, restrooms, outdoor showers and a boat ramp, plus free parking — including a lot on the north side used mainly by jetty anglers.
Fall and early winter are prime, when mullet run and the mackerel and pompano show up. Mornings and tide changes are the best windows.

Swift current and rocky structure make the north jetty a top Palm Beach County shore spot. Marina, beach and free parking in the park.
Fishing at Ocean Inlet Park
Work the jetty rocks and the channel for snook on the tide changes, and fan casts across the inlet for pompano, mackerel and jacks. Live mullet and pilchards, shrimp, and pompano jigs are the local standards. Fall and winter runs are the highlight, and a moving tide almost always beats slack water.
