Gulf Coast Piers

Along Florida’s Gulf Coast, the piers stretch out over calm, clear, sugar-sand water — from the Panhandle and the Big Bend down through Tampa Bay and the Southwest coast. These are the piers that reach right into the Gulf of Mexico: Navarre, Okaloosa, Fort De Soto, Naples, and more.

It’s laid-back fishing with some of the best sunsets in the state — Spanish mackerel and pompano in the cooler months, snook and mangrove snapper around the pilings, and kingfish and cobia out toward the end. Pick a pier below and go wet a line.
